Philosophy Wire: No television! (only for PMs)

photo_verybig_148234 (1)Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2013-02-27]: Doctors have banned Bulgaria's outgoing Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, from watching TV in the next 24 hours to prevent him from worrying too much. The information was reported by the PIK news agency, citing their insider source from the government hospital where Borisov has been listed Monday afternoon with hypertension. [source: web news] It just makes you wander: if TV causes such stress that makes the doctors ban it for patients with hypertension, why is it allowed for everyone else? Should we continue doing something bad for our health until it affects us? Or maybe it does not officially “affect” us until that “bad” is manifested?
