Philosophy Wire: Anonymous hit (?) CIA web page. So what?

Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2012-02-12]: Anonymous claimed they have “hit” the CIA website [source: web news]. DoS attacks are too much in fashion during the last years. But what do they accomplish anyway? Did this attack (if it happened) hurt the CIA? Or just bring more visitors to its website?
