Philosophy Wire: The “hand of God”…

Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2016-07-01]: A scientific paper on the anatomy of the human hand, which was peer reviewed and published in the journal Plos One on 5 January, explored the link between the biomechanical architecture of the hand and its ability to coordinate movements. The paper sparked a furore in the scientific community because of its apparent underlying theistic message. The researchers claimed that “hand coordination should indicate the mystery of the Creator’s invention”. Written by researchers from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China and Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts, the study claimed the relationship between the anatomical structure of the hand and its ability to grasp objects is “the proper design by the Creator to perform a multitude of daily tasks in a comfortable way”. After many protests, the article was finally retracted. [1]

If you do not want to see something, you will never see it. This is science today. A bunch of fearful little men who are afraid even the word “God”. You can make any assumption on how man was created as long as your assumption does not contain a… creator.

Look closely at your hand. It writes poetry. It composes melodies. It touches. It hurts. Believe in random. Look at your hand again. It moves. It moves. It feels. It feels.

We have created a universe without God.
And then we wonder why we cannot see Him…
