Philosophy Wire: Human mind. Not bound by natural laws? Invalid question.

Scientists will try to perform the Bell test with the human mind conducting the configuration of the measuring devices, instead of a random numbers generator. In that way they want to see whether the experiment results will deviate from the expected results based on quantum mechanics theory and, thus, prove that the human mind is not bound by natural laws. [1] [2] But wait a minute. What does it mean to be bound by natural laws? And why is that something important? We are all part of the Cosmos. We must abide to its laws, but we are lawmakers at the same time. Because the cosmos is us and we are the cosmos. How can you have laws without legislators?
