Philosophy Wire: Gravity, constants, change...

Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2014-08-08]: A new experimental technique which uses the laws of quantum mechanics allowed a team of researchers to measure with accuracy the value of gravitational constant G. Constant G, even though it supposedly has a specific constant value across the universe, seems to have different values in various experiments - it must also be noted that it's values deviations are increasing rather than decreasing. It is possible that these deviations are due to experimental errors. Another more interesting explanation is that the law of gravity does not explain gravity in small spaces like a laboratory. [1] The one thing we should keep in mind from all this is the obvious: Nothing is constant. Accept that and the whole spiritual structure build by man since Heraclitus will collapse. Only to reveal a much prettier one hiding from us all these years. One. Eternal change. Opposites. And yet the same. We just Are...
