Philosophy Wire: London 2012 - The worst Opening Ceremony ever!

Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2012-07-28]: No music that can make you feel like you are in a “great event”. Well, actually no Music. Just a mix of random sounds with no coherence. A “show” which was designed to be seen from TV and not from the live audience there. Just go away from the TV lens and you will just see an irregular crowd. No coordination. No choreography (ok, in the last minute there were 20 people somehow dancing and at the end stopped the show and bowed?!?). Nothing. Just that. Ah! Let's not forget we had Harry Potter (as a sample of "british literature"!). And a lot of kinds! And Berners-Lee. You know. The guy who excelled outside england and who teaches in the US... Having good taste is everything… And that does not require any kind of money…

Let us remember how such things should be organized…

No harmony.
Just money.
The story of the UK.
