It seems that the US Space Command is one of the major groups that funded the SETI program to “life” again [source: web news]. US Army has always been in front of every new development. Now that a planet with similar conditions to Earth has been discovered, we all think (or fear?) that aliens can actually exist. And the one actually funding the research is the Army (for its own purposes of course). Not a scientific research group.
